This is how excited my kids were that it finally snowed. Footprints from bare feet were all over outside. Living in Texas for 4 years...they forgot that snow was cold!

Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord, Jesus Christ. ("The Family: A Proclamation to the World," paragraph 7)

We go once per week to visit Courtney. She is residing at the Copperhills Center for Youth. We can't do a lot with her because she isn't able to leave the campus yet. We decided it would be a good opportunity to have Family Home Evening since we go on Monday nights anyway. It has been a lot of fun and I think she is enjoying it. She hasn't had the opportunity to have any affiliation with the church since she left our home 3 years ago. Since starting this she has now asked for a picture of Jesus to help her make better choices...On this night we had pizza.

She actually swallowed it. She was so worried the tooth fairy wouldn't come. She drew a picture of her and her tooth and we wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining the situation. He understood and left her some money. (The tooth fairy is a boy in our house).

Okay....so I didn't grow any of it. I bought the tomatoes and peaches at the famous fruit way in Brigham City (Perry, UT). I love to bottle! I did this all in 4 days! Really long days. I am thankful to my mother-in-law for teaching me how many, many years ago! She was a remarkable lady. She's been gone almost 8 years I think...

All of us in front of the Provo Temple...across the street from the MTC. We arrived a little early. They have drive by drop-offs at the MTC now. No time for picture taking or even long goodbyes.

This was the picture and caption in the Richfield Reaper. Sam is on the front row in the red shirt. He worked really hard during the season and consistantly improved his personal best time. Congratulations, Sam and the rest of the team!

The time is getting shorter. Charity leaves on Oct 7th. We have been really busy the past few days and spending money like crazy.

My mom is famous in Grass Valley for her patches. She NEVER throws anything away. Her kids and now her grandkids all sport these very fashionable patched levis throughout the summer. She still patches Curt & Clay's pants.

We are sitting in the back of the Suburban getting ready for the Koosharem 4th of July parade to start. We were supposed to have a float for the kids to ride on but Steve didn't get to come down from SLC to help us celebrate. He was having a swine flu party:(

My Aunt June always has the greatest floats. Although this one brings to mind uncle Jed and the rest of the Clampets...

This float was for the vetern's of Grass Valley to ride on. They had a nice program in the morning before the parade to honor all the vetern's from Grass Valley.
