California, Roseville Mission

The time is getting shorter. Charity leaves on Oct 7th. We have been really busy the past few days and spending money like crazy.

Patches

My mom is famous in Grass Valley for her patches. She NEVER throws anything away. Her kids and now her grandkids all sport these very fashionable patched levis throughout the summer. She still patches Curt & Clay's pants.

4th of July

We are sitting in the back of the Suburban getting ready for the Koosharem 4th of July parade to start. We were supposed to have a float for the kids to ride on but Steve didn't get to come down from SLC to help us celebrate. He was having a swine flu party:(

A Style all his own

Cute, Cute, Cute...

These 2 little girls remind me of 2 other little girls many years ago...(Keirstin & Ashley) This is Lindsey and her cousin, Bella.

Aunt June

My Aunt June always has the greatest floats. Although this one brings to mind uncle Jed and the rest of the Clampets...

Koosharem Parade

This float was for the vetern's of Grass Valley to ride on. They had a nice program in the morning before the parade to honor all the vetern's from Grass Valley.

Face painting

On your mark, get set, GOOOO

The celebration wouldn't be the same without the kid races. This is Lindsey winning her race against all the other 5 year olds. I couldn't get Kylie or Braeden to race. They were too busy playing on the big water slides.

Green Thumbs

My mom let Kylie, Braeden, & Lindsey each plant a row of veggies in her garden this summer. These are the first pickings....radishes. They tried them but didn't like them. (They were really hot) But they sure had fun picking them...everday:)

Lindsey's peas. Boy were they good. Her little row of peas is the only one that really grew. I think her row got the most sun. They went out everyday and picked all the ones that were ready and ate them all. That's the fun of having peas though...

Car Wash???

This was either in New Mexico or Arizona. I just thought this was so funny. Not sure what they were washing...

Big Green Bug

I have no idea what kind of bug this is. On our drive back to Utah we stopped at a gas station. I got out of the car to go in...the gas station was closed. I turned around and this guy was on the hood of the car. He was huge. I wish I could have put something next to him so you could see how big he is. Anyway, he stayed on the hood the entire time it took to drive to the next gas station. These pictures were taken at the 2nd gas station. I think we were in New Mexico.

Ride that Hippo

This was one of our last night's in Hutto, TX. Lindsey and I returned to Texas in June to finish packing up our house. I wanted to get one last picture of Lindsey on a hippo. I really wanted to buy a hippo (we didn't have one yet) and take it back to Utah with us but we didn't.... All the businesses in Hutto have painted hippos out in front. My favorites were the camoflauge hippo in front of Vetern's Hill Elementary, the dalmation hippo at the fire station, the bikini clad at the car wash and the Harley Davidson one our neighbor had in his front yard.
