First Snow of the Year

This is how excited my kids were that it finally snowed. Footprints from bare feet were all over outside. Living in Texas for 4 years...they forgot that snow was cold!

There was more snow on the cars than on the ground.
Chores were done by 9:00am on this Saturday....they wanted to play in the snow (before it melted). Wish it would snow everyday just so chores would get done.
Desperate attempt to make a snowman.

Lost his head....

This was his ultimate demise....poor frosty. (take notice of the awesome soccer kick form!)

Visit with Courtney/Family Home Evening

We go once per week to visit Courtney. She is residing at the Copperhills Center for Youth. We can't do a lot with her because she isn't able to leave the campus yet. We decided it would be a good opportunity to have Family Home Evening since we go on Monday nights anyway. It has been a lot of fun and I think she is enjoying it. She hasn't had the opportunity to have any affiliation with the church since she left our home 3 years ago. Since starting this she has now asked for a picture of Jesus to help her make better choices...

On this night we had pizza.

And learned about the plan of salvation.

Braeden led the music.

Steve singing "Once there was a snowman."

My little goblins

Kylie, the zombie soccer referee.

Braeden, the vampire

Lindsey, the cutest little witch.

This was the week before Halloween. A family down the street had a Halloween party and invited the kids. It was a good thing otherwise, they would not have been able to dress up at all. They were all sick with the flu on Halloween!

Lindsey loses her first tooth!

She actually swallowed it. She was so worried the tooth fairy wouldn't come. She drew a picture of her and her tooth and we wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining the situation. He understood and left her some money. (The tooth fairy is a boy in our house).

My Harvest

Okay....so I didn't grow any of it. I bought the tomatoes and peaches at the famous fruit way in Brigham City (Perry, UT). I love to bottle! I did this all in 4 days! Really long days. I am thankful to my mother-in-law for teaching me how many, many years ago! She was a remarkable lady. She's been gone almost 8 years I think...

Me & Charity...get in the car already!

All of us in front of the Provo Temple...across the street from the MTC. We arrived a little early. They have drive by drop-offs at the MTC now. No time for picture taking or even long goodbyes.
